The proposed development includes:
  • the construction of about 450 residential dwellings (including affordable housing), subject to detailed design work, landscaping; including strengthening the boundary planting
  • a small mixed use area
  • provision of land for a primary school (if required)
  • financial contribution to education provision
  • other contributions to be negotiated through Section 106 or Community Infrastructure Levy
  • new primary vehiclular access from Chickerell Link Road (B3157), which is intended to provide a link with School HIll and could potentially provide a bus route through the site to the northern part of the CHIC 2 allocation
  • various pedestrian/cycle accesses along the western boundary of the application site to ensure that there is public access to the existing settlement.
