A public exhibition to discuss the development proposals will be held at: Chickerell Town Council, Meeting Room, Willowbed Hall, Putton Lane, Chickerell, Weymouth DT3 4AJ on Thursday 19th March between 2:30pm until 7:30pm.
Pegasus Group is preparing a planning application on behalf of Persimmon Homes Ltd for a development of about 450 homes on Land east of Chickerell.

Before the application is submitted to West Dorset District Council, we are seeking the views of the local community on the proposed development.
The site is approximately 26 hectares and located immediately east of the existing settlement of Chickerell. To the north of the site are open fields, leading to School Hill and Coldharbour Road and the northern part of the allocation as proposed in the submitted Local Plan.
Land at East Chickerell is part of the proposed allocation in Policy CHIC 2 of the submitted West Dorset Weymouth and Portland Local Plan. It has been part of the development strategy for Chickerell and included in the Local Plan since 2011. Land to the north and east of Chickerell has the potential to deliver around 850 dwellings. No significant issues have been raised at the Examination of the Local Plan.
The draft proposals for land east of Chickerell seek to deliver a sustainable extension to the settlement of Chickerell, in accordance with the submitted West Dorset Weymouth and Portland Local Plan.
